All right. As of now, Tris is submitted to the App Store and "In Review". Look for it, I assume, sometime this weekend or next week.

At the last minute, I had an idea, and I'm glad I took a few minutes to implement it.
Next-piece view
This is done with four image views that the app shuffles around into the right positions to show a piece. The change I made was really simple — literally three lines of code — and made the shuffling animated, over about a fifth of a second. So, whenever the next piece changes, the blocks rearrange themselves from one piece into another. It looks pretty cool.

Just one question. What happens if I make highscore "on the road" and would like to submit it to the online highscore but have no wlan/cell coverage around me (or am ipod touch user). Can I submit the highscore later or how does that work?

Dominic - that's a problem I haven't really solved yet. Any form of saving high scores for upload opens some man-in-the-middle attacks to anyone with a jailbroken phone.

mhm. allright. thanks for your answer. :)

i hope you'll find time to solve this problem somehow in the future cause ikinda (and probably others too) like playing tris on my way home in the underground.

anyway I really appreciate all the hard work you put in this thing.

Your website is listed as "localhost". You might want to fix that.

I've downloaded it, it seems like a nice app. But when I open it, it shows briefly a screen and then returns to the "springboard"(?) I guess that means it is crashing.
I always try apps in Airplane Mode, to make sure they work without using some kind of connection. Is it possible it crashes because there is no connection? I can't say for wifi since right now I don't have access to one.
Why I try Airplane Mode? I am in Mexico and we don't have unlimited data plans. The Unlimited plan costs about $110 usd a month. I have a 150 MB plan that costs about $50 usd a month, so I have to check carefuly where I am spending my MBs. FYI.

Great, but the controls of rotating, moving and falling down a puzzle-piece should be a little bit improved.

The Preview of the next piece should be on the top of the right screenside otherwise the preview is sometimes hidden by your fingers.

Thanks so much for bringing this game to the AppStore! :)

Mhm. I'm guessing the highscore has already either been "hacked" or there are some amazingly good tris players out there (199 360 Points WTF I hardly make it to 50 000).

It's sad that some people really have time to manipulate the highscore of an iphone game (it's a great game but it's just a game)...

Thanks for this. I hope this will stay free as this is an inspiration to other developers. Donations FTW!

Congrats on making it to Number 1 on the AppStore!

We just launched Have A Sec, a survey tool for iPhone. With it, you can get feedback on Tris directly on iPhone. Check it out: www.HaveASec.com
